Games Day 2012 Tickets
Tickets go on sale BLACK FRIDAY, November 25th.
Games Day 2012 is July 28th and will be in Chicago IL.
The first 500 tickets sold will receive color artwork framed in a black mat
(if you purchase more than 5 tickets, the art is limited to 5 pieces of art per order).

I wonder why GW chose to presell GD Chicago tix 8 months in advance. Do they normally sell tickets to big events like these so early? Is it really necessary with everything else going on Black Friday that one should have to parce out the $60 (or whatever price) towards tickets so far in advance. GW must think that the artwork for the first 500 is worth it. You would think that mid-late January would be a better time to start selling - after people had a paycheck to recover from the holidays. Who do these guys think they are? Justin Beiber? If you need money sell some Necrons or something. Thoughts?

They may be forecasting weak holiday sales based on the world economy. A little extra revenue around black friday may help to slightly offset that. For someone planning to go anyway I guess free art isn't a bad incentive to buy a little earlier than normal.

GD tickets have always been 25 dollars. I'll probably be buying mine on Black Friday.
