I worked on this guy and really enjoyed painting it. Its very tempting to start a GK army after doing just one of these guys. He will be one of a few in store display pieces at a LGS that opened up down the street from my work. Hopefully it will interest some of the gamers there to throw some commission work my way. ... And yes that's my name on the shoulder =) . He's held down to the plinth by an earth magnet. Cant wait start on a conversion project with these guys, a Grey Knight Terminator Chaplain! stay tuned...

I love the way you've painted blue on his arm to make it look like it's reflecting from the sword. Very nice!

Wow. At first it was pretty good, but then I noticed the OSL on the arm. Very nicely done!

Thanks, accidental OSL is a wonderful thing. Was a little tricky since I did with a 25 year old compressor my dad got me when I was a kid, damn thing still kicks butt.

Beautiful model. Not a criticism but a question it seems the back of the model is a bit out of place being so basically blank.

By blank do you mean a lack of accessory bits or a lack of details? if you mean the arm hoses I didn't want to make them stand out so I just made them mesh with the arms giving the straight hose a mild blue tint. I didnt want to clutter him up with belt bits from the box for two reasons: I wanted him to look as stock as possible, no fancy belt pouches to detract from or obscure the back , and I wanted to save those bitz for later projects. Other than that theres really not alot going on on the back side of a Grey Knight to work with. I suppose I could shadow the butt plate a little more but what would you suggest?

oh its not at all for me to suggest, I am a pretty decent painter myself I just like a little insight into the work of others, especially if it is a piece I think is as nice as this. Honestly it works and I was just wunnerin if it was intentional as it seems it is.
