Kabalite Conscript





This is my DE 2750 army list, everything has it's purpose and everything generally gets to do so, however I would like to improve on this. Befor you ask, I include Drazhar because the armour save he has got and when he gets feel no pain he is awesome.
The main fault of this army is that I don't know what to give my wyches.

HQ Drazhar (Venom with the 4 Incubi) 230
HQ Haemonculus, Shattershard, Huskblade, Webway Portal
Haemonculus, Shattershard, Huskblade
Haemonculus, Shattershard, Huskblade 205

ELITES Incubi x4 (in venom with Drazhar) 153
ELITES Wracks x10 (Raider , Flickerfield, shock prow) 175
ELITES Kabalite Trueborn, 4 Blasters, 1 Dark Lance (Venom, extra splinter cannon) 225

TROOPS Kabalite Warriors x10, 1 Dark Lance(come through portal) 115
TROOPS [3x] Wyches x9 (go with Haemies) Haywire grenades (3 Raiders, Flickerfield , Shock Prow) 569

FA Scourgers x 10(I use them for anti-infantri alongside warriors) 220
FA Hellions x20 320
FA Beastmaster x1, Agoniser, 1 Clawed fiend, 5 Kyhmerae 135

HS Razorwing, Flickerfield, 4 Necrotoxin 175
HS [2x] Ravager,Flickerfield, Retrofire Jets 240


Big Hellion Pack to do some damage to main part of enemy's army, possibly do Hit and Run on leader
Wych Raiders to go before enmy lines and get out, Haemie drops webway.
Kabalite and Scourgers fire at enemy lines, reducing for wyches
Ravagers open fire at vehicles
Wyches assult
Beastmasters pick up and loose prey
later on, Razorwing Deep Strikes destroying last of enemy tanks

I'm a little confused by a couple of things on your list - either you're writing stuff wrong, playing stuff wrong, or I'm playing stuff wrong...since I'm really full of myself I'll presume the problem is on your end

1. Do you deep strike with the Ravagers too? As prime tank busters I'm confused why they have retrofires.

2. Shattershards can't be taken in multiples, they're a one per army selection.

3. For coming out of a portal why a dark lance? Wouldn't a Blaster make more sense...also, who else is even coming out of that thing, the Lance Warriors, the Beasts and the Hellions? The WWP aspect feels randomly tacked on and not a viable and core part of the army.

4. You appear to be running the Wyches just as anti-mech mostly, so why are you wanting to get them FNP? After the wreck vehicles are they just going to kinda desperately grab at stuff and hope to tarpit? For the points you're burning in...well, a lot of places, but let's say Scourges - you're burning hundreds of points on Scourges for anti-infantry tools...why not sack some of that and give the Wyches the gear to be a viable h2h threat as well as a mech threat? It would also make that pain token you're getting more viable, and would save you points, and overall would make a tougher army.

5. Drahzar? He's not bad, but you have noticed that for 10 points more you get Asdrubael who is...significantly better in basically every way. Though, quite frankly, I wince at how the Incubi lack grenades at least Asdrubael will have them so he can swing at initiative.

6. The Wracks are troops, fyi, also, what's their point? They're just sort of there being less good Wyches in this list, as you gave them none of the tools that makes them really different and better than Wyches so...they're just there, doing something I can't fathom.

7. If the Razorwing is there for anti-mech it's...not really a great choice. But even if you want it for anti-mech, why Necrotoxin missiles? Those are anti-infantry most assuredly.

Drazhar's weakness is that he has no invul. 3 power weapon wounds or three AP2 shots and he's gone. FNP doesn't help here either. As thor said for 10 points you get Vect, who is a beast...I'd go with Vect.

Ok I get the portal...kinda. The huskblade I don't get nor the shattershard. Shattershards are a one shot deal then it is back to a pistol. Liquifiers can keep going. As for the huskblade...why? These guys should not be in CC. They aren't fleet and don't have a good Int for DE. Let the wyches disembark and take the Haemys' pain tokens with them and leave the haemys in the boats to liquifier stuff.

Well these guys are troops..not elites with haemys in the army. That said I would drop them for 4 trueborn with blasters...obviously in a Venom with 2 SC.

And now I'm confused. Why put them in a transport and mix ranges that much on weapons. Either 4 blasters or 2 DL. Blasters get a venom, DL hide in a building. Blasterborn are my preferred kit out as they are more survivable, have AT, and a transport that kills infantry.

Uhmm...negative. Why bring a DL through a portal? You waste all the turns they aren't on the board and then can't fire when they do show up. 5 guys, 1 blaster, venom, 2SC.

Ok Haywires are good. Now you need a hekatrix with an agoniser per squad, and a razorflial. As for the Raiders, the FF are good...shock prows...not so much. Save the points for wyche weapons and such.

Venoms, beasts, and wyches are enough anti-infantry. If you are set on a portal then give them heat lances at 5 guys in the squad...in fact run two squads of them.

I also don't get this. Hellions are meh at best. Baron makes them ok...I guess. When compared to scourges, reavers, and beasts. These guys are a pass for me.

First off this is illegal. One beastmaster is needed for the fiend alone. Now get about 3 of them and run 5 Kyhmerae and 4 razorwings. The agoniser is fine and putting them in the portal is a great zone denial trick.

If you run the razorwing as anti-inantry...I can't blame you...then drop the DL for dissies and pick up the TL SC, and keep the missiles stock. You should wound almost everything on a 2+ anyway so why pay for it. Honestly though at this level you need every AT gun you can get. In this case it means dark lances. A Ravager is the best for this for the cost.

I really don't get the retrofire jets. Why deep strike one of your best AT vehicles and not let them shoot till they come in? Save the points and leave the jets behind.

This is a trick your opponent will see coming as Hellion scream Hit and Run with a leader...also that leader can do some serious damage to them assuming they are still alive...like I said before leave them behind.

Warriors kill tanks best not infantry. Scourges have access to unique AT weapons like the heat lance and haywire blaster. Don't waste these weapons for anti-infantry. You venoms can weaken squads but you want the wyches to win on your opponent's turn not yours.

Then why take necrotoxin? If armor is left by the time you DS this in to get position you are probably in trouble. Either way ravagers are cheaper for AT.

Dial your army *down* to 2k. Or 1850 or 1750. I think you're biting off more than you can chew. DE are an army that 'tops' out near 2k (venom spam & wyches, anyway). Unless you can deliver 3 units of heavily razorflocked Beast Masters.

As stated, Shatters are *ONE* per army. Toss the huskblades as Haems suck at h2h and you shouldn't beef 'em up for it. Go 1 ShatterShard and the other two liquifiers.

As Akorma said, toss the DL. You can't fire it at all if the venom moves. And you can only fire the blasters if the venom moves less than 6", Combat Speed.

The DL is a 'heavy' weapon and can't be fire on the Move. Switch to a blaster.
