So the three chimeras push up doing melta drive byes and when they get blasted they will get out and shoot something up and charge it down with furious charge. The rough riders will be pushing up behind the chimera shield and then when they get close assault a hard unit with 21 str6 ini6 and hopeful kill them. It is catachan themed and I think it is very fun list. So what you think?

I can see where you're going with this but first of all I would drop the meltaguns from the Rough Riders - if you're moving them up behind a Chimera screen which will be bristling with meltas then giving Rough Riders them is a waste of 20 points. I'd try and max out the amount of Hunting Lance attacks you get in your first attack - Rough Riders can carry a Hunting Lance, CCW or laspistol and two can replace their lances with either a Flamer, Grenade-Launcher, Meltagun or Plasma gun - they don't get to keep their lances. So in effect your squad would be charging in with only 17 S5 I5 (not S6 I6) power weapon attacks instead of the full 21 for an assaulting 10-man Rough Rider squad.

Oh i totally forgot about that, what would you suggest swap that 20p for then?

Errr... could always put a Storm Bolter or Heavy Stubber on two of your Chimeras. I'd suggest putting them on your two 'Troop' Chimeras and then on the third you could have a Catachan out of the hatch pointing the way. Gives you 2x S4 AP5 or 3x S4 AP6 shots on each on top of everything else. Frankly I think it'd look great to have a Catachan up out of the hatch, manning either a Storm Bolter or Heavy Stubber. Then you could use the head options with open mouths as though they're screaming as they fire their weapons.

Or i could get dozer blades, as this means i have to roll a double one to get imblozied, and then i will be able to get over the board with no trouble of terrian. and i love the guard dozer blades.

...that'd probably be the sensible option. I tend not to do the sensible option - more dakka = happy Sparks.

Well you got to love the DAKKA DAKKA , but yeah sensible option=more melta at close range=Happy luke!

I would give the RR Sarge melta bombs at least, that way if you catch a tank unmoving, it is a free shot on it and still gives you your lances. Just remember you /have/ to use the lances on the first charge, so don't go tank hunting till after your first charge.
