So on particularly large (ish) threads where dakkanaughts post pictures and stuff (such as the "your best conversion model" thread, or gitsplitta's "rebuilding the mantis warriors", I find it difficult to see if someone has replied to my post. Would it be possible to add a notification icon/automated PM if someone quotes a dakkanaught?
I don't mean the "notify by email when a reply is posted", because that's only for the threads creator ( IIRC). I mean for anyone else posting, say if I post on the "your best conversion model thread" a picture of one of my models and someone and quotes my post, then I will get an email or icon on my dakka toolbar.

JB: I like the concept of a free Shrike roaming through the treetops of the jungle. I'm not sure that I like the idea of a real Shrike sitting on my couch eating my Skittles.

That option (IIRC) is "email me when a reply is posted", but it emails you when someone else posts on the thread, not when someone actually replies to you.

I don't follow you.
How can someone reply directly to you. the reply button is way down at the bottom of the thread string.
They could Quote you. Perhaps that's what you're asking for? An email notification when you are quoted?

Quoting a post just copies their text and throws quote tags around it.
There's no way for the system to differentiate, so the best that can be done is the email for any reply in the thread.
