Hi, I think this is a right place for asking question like this...
I want to make a real life Lasgun ( out of wood , so can you give me any tips, site when I can find some help on how to make it.
I already know basics for this but little more help woudn't hurt

Do you know how to shape wood?

Find the previous IG codex for weapon pictures.

Figure out scale measurements and then scale it up.

You really do need to do this step, otherwise it will either look too small or too large (and verge on Final-fantasy ludicrous).

Allright, I have done some reserch and found some things.

Lasgun is 90cm long, so looking at the model itself I somehow manage to make out proportions. I am also thinking to put laser on the barel and get button for laser were the trigger is.

Any suggestion on how could I do decorations? ( min and max setting, imperial aquila etc... )

Some high intensity red LEDs might be a better idea then a laser pointer. Fewer (permanant) blindings involved.
