Hardened Veteran Guardsman

Hey Dakka, tomorrow a buddy of mine is going to set up a special scenario for me and another friend, to shake things up. It's a defense scenario in which Eldar invade an Imperial Planet with a Catachan detachment. The table is going to be 8 feet by 4 feet, with the game played longwise, with a 1x4 foot rectangular deployment zone. The attackers, the Eldar, get first turn, and have to touch one scoring unit on my edge of the table to win. the defenders, me, have to hold out until turn 8 to win. Outflanking is given a major boost, with the long edges of the table being used for outflanking.

Here's my list, which I hope will grind the Eldar's momentum to a screeching halt, tell me what you all think!

HQ:
Company Command Squad: 4 Plasmaguns, Plasma Pistol, Astropath, Officer of the Fleet, 180pts (deployed inside a vendetta)

Against Eldar, I would maybe take 2 sets of 2 hydras in my HS. They are great at knocking out skimmers.

I would also lose the sentinels for a 3rd vendetta.

Marbo/stormtroopers don't really seem to fit the scenario. You are essentially castling - so just want mass firepower. For the points you could stick another autocannon HWS in there.

Why do you need an astropath? You want stuff on the table from the off. If you worry about their alpha strike then take some extra chimeras for the infantry squads and then stick them empty in front of your tanks/HWS to give them a cover save T1. Move them away in your turn and then open fire.
