I currently have 25 pts. of cygnar, it needs to grow to keep up with the Wifey's Khador.
I'm looking to add 10 pts now, and later end up with 50 pts.

What I have now: pStryker, Ironclad, Lancer, Charger, Black 13th, Arcane Tempest Gun Mages, Journeyman, and Reinholdt, adds to 25. (I also have Siege and Haley)

I'm thinking of getting the Gun Mage Officer, and Arlan to run the Charger, and a Hunter to then go with Jr. 10 pts...

Other option, a full Stormblades Unit, with the UA, and Stormgunners x3... that would be 11 but could make 9-11 pts with the single point stormgunners.

I'm not sure which 10 pts. to add next. For 50 pts I'd like all of the above, and Eiryss, Mage Hunter of Ios, as well as Harlan Versh... that's 5 pts.

Total would give me 50, might add more casters to the collection someday, and a storm strider... never know... might hit 100 pts eventually...LOL

Other models I like and would consider: 2nd unit of Gun Mages (new sculpt), Long Gunners, or Sword Knights....

I am a total Newb, we mostly collect/paint, and have little playing exp. Not looking for a tourny list, just fun and a competitive chance for when I do play.

You will want the gunmage ua. The gunmages then should take a hunter (not a charger, chargers should be on a caster or jr only). Thats 8 points which then leaves you with room for Arlan.

Going to 50 the Stormblades are a good pick up and should be included in your 50 point list.

JR. would get the hunter, and I was goiing to give Stryker hiss original battlegroup back, should I give JR the Charger, and the GunMages the hunter? I'll look into that.

Gun mages work better with Hunter as they can only give one (almost) focus to jack and Hunter will perform fine with just one focus point. Charger needs one to just get the second shot from the cannon and would like 3 for full boosts.

no book handy, but if I remember that was what I came up with for 35, next I would like to add the new Battle Engine, and Stormblades, full with gunners and UA. going to start working on 50pts list, for a final goal and then I will TRY to stop buying these things.... we barely play, just like to collect and paint mainly....LOL

A solid list for pStryker.

One small thing you'll want to consider is jack allocation. Stryker is goiing to be low on focus every turn due to upkeep spells. I would move the focus hungry charger to Jr, and the Hunter then gets Marshaled by the Gun Mages. The charger gets its boosted shot (or 2 when really needed) from Jr (who's arcane shield is probably on Stryker or one of the Melee Jacks). The Hunter gets to then use the pseudo focus to boost the hit roll (crit brutal for potential extra die). If you really want to Arlan can also power boost the jack (as it doesn't get allocated a focus) to potentially throw a 4 dice AP 6 shot.

That tatic while unreliable due to the crit so you shouldn't rely on it.

So keeping in mind that you like painting and modeling primarily, gaming secondly, have you considered some of the gorgeous 'jacks out there?

Specifically Ol' Rowdy and the Stormclad. Rowdy plays well with everyone, and is honestly one of the best, cheapest character 'jacks out there. He also LOVES Stryker. The Stormclad is a relatively self-sufficient 'jack when backed by Strangeways and running with a gang of Stormblades. This is really great with a 'caster who has lot's of upkeep spells anyways.

I'm a little confused that you're not including Cygnar's 1 auto-include: the Squire. EVERYONE needs the Squire. End of story.

I can't come to like the Squire model for some reason, I read it's rules and it seems to be good, but not mandatory.. (coming from the guy who wants PoM and no choir)...
I do like 'ol Rowdy, and will probably get him someday...
we like gaming, just have little time for it with 2 little ones, and we're like 45 miles to one FLGS, 90 or so to a couple others... so our main source of games is just amont the 2 of us...
I'm going to be trying to come up with a goal list for Cygnar, Khador, and PoM... and make all 3 fit in the Battlefoam Bag... I wan't to get it for the wifey as a surprise...her Khador seem to get abused and .... well, I need more super glue...LOL
