Correct me if I'm wrong but the minimum amount of warlocks you can have is 3 on a farseer. Either way I still think its a waste of points to have a waveserpent for just your farseer. Stick him with the dire avengers and give him guide and doom, drop the serpent and the warlocks. With the extra points I would replace 1 night spinner with 2 fire prisms.

I think there's an extra 100points after that and you can use that to customize your list

I recommend upping your fire dragons to 6, giving their serpents star engines and giving SS to every other tank

I think you need another troop. Only having 2 in 1500 points seems really light.

Bladestorming DA are crazy expensive though, but you could pretty easily swap out one of your heavy support tanks for a DAVU squad in a Serpent. Another option you can do is swap out the Spinner for a DAVU Falcon.

finally you could try to squeeze in a small squad of Guardian Jetbikes for Objective snagging duty.

I know that Eldar Tanks are pretty durable, and that you are relying on claiming more objectives than your opponent through contesting.

But you do need to consider that your Dire Avengers are geared up for combat, which is great fun, but it also means that they'll inherently be more at risk, which coincidentally also puts at risk your ability to control objectives.

I think Spirit Stones are a total waste, as they only come into play 1/6 of the time on the damage chart... and you have a 2/3 chance of being wrecked. You could easily use those points to go a long way towards affording that 3rd troop choice.

What do you suggest I do? I am trying to make a fluffy (or at least somewhat fluffy) Biel-Tan list.
I suppose that doing a foot-dar list would be best. Then I also get to use the Avatar of Khaine.

[145] Farseer- Both Runes, Stones, Doom, Guide
[180] 5 Fire Dragons : Serpent- tl Shuriken Cannon
[180] 5 Fire Dragons : Serpent- tl Shuriken Cannon
[267] 10 Dire Avengers- Exarch, 2 Catapults, Bladestorm : Serpent- tl Scatter Laser
[267] 10 Dire Avengers- Exarch, 2 Catapults, Bladestorm : Serpent- tl Scatter Laser
[60] 5 Dire Avengers
[170] Falcon- EML, Holofields
[115] Fire Prism
[115] Fire Prism

Its basically the same list except with one more troop choice... You could even swap out the Prisms for 2 Night Spinners if you pleased, just don't mix and match.

Would either work equally well in this list?
That is, Fire Prisms and Night Spinners.

He you can mix an match Night Spinners, Falcons, or Prisms with no real issue. Just use one of the following combos. All falcons should have EML, Holo, Stones, 5 man DA unit and all Nightspinners/Prisms should have holos (stones optional but recommended).

Prism, Prism, Spinner - Good AT, Good horde killing, Decent MEQ killing, fast

Falcon, Prism, Prism - Good AT, Decent horde killing, Decent MEQ killing, slower, 1 Scoring

Falcon, Falcon, Spinner - Great AT, Decent horde killing, Decent MEQ killing, much slower, 2 Scoring

Spinner, Spinner, Spinner - Mediorce AT (great vs DE, IG, AV side 10), Fantastic horde killing, Great MEQ killing, fast

Prism, Prism, Prism - Great AT, Good horde killing, Decent MEQ killing, fast

Falcon, Falcon, Falcon - Fantastic AT, Mediocre horde killing, Mediocre MEQ killing, fast, 3 scoring.

Those are jsut combinations that I have personally tested that work very well in a Grav tank theme. For the record please note that I never leave home without Eldrad so that may skew my view a bit on the options.

How potent are Harlies? They are among my favorite GW models.

They look beautiful, that is about it. 1 in 6 games they will do good... The other 5 you might as well leave 250 points out of your list to save them the humiliation.

Banshees are much more reliable IMO. They are my favorite models and whenever their target is doomed, you can say bye to whoever they are charging.

How are Harlies in a Footdar list?

Harlies can work in most situations, not just footdar. They have the advantage of not being shot most the time due to Veil of Tears. I can't agree with Helvost that banshees are more reliable. I do love them so much, but in almost every instance I've used them (charging grey hunters and the like) they end up failing miserably because I just can't get enough wounds. Harlies have the advantage of more attacks, more strength on the charge, and rending mostly makes up for lack of power weapons. Also not needing a vehicle balances cost a bit. Ignoring terrain is also quite fun.

8x harlies with troupe master (power weapon), shadowseer and 7 kisses is around 222 points isn't it? Not too expensive. Of course, overshadowed to no end by Death Cult assassins. Oh well.

Akaen's list should work well (should trash my Eldar list for the most part, unless I'm lucky), but I can't say I like it. Never liked the mass of grav tanks as I thought it looked boring. Eldar vehicles may be beautiful, but "too much of a good thing" and all that. I don't like repetition too much.

For that Harlie squad, does that include the Kiss's?

Horrific Howling Banshee

Akaen's List is pretty much the best you can hope for if you're sticking with 2 squads on bladestorming avengers. But yes, the second you disembark one of those squads, the protection on your scoring units goes from AV12 with Energy Fields, down to T3 4+ armor. If you really want to bring on the doom/guide/bladestorm hurt, only bring it once. Let the rest of your avengers come in 5-mans and just chill in serpents, shooting missiles and generally winning objective games.

Harlequins will often do well, but you really need to cross all your fingers and toes that your opponent rolls bad on Veil of Tears as you get close. However, they're still your best bet for melee elite units, since Banshees need a transport and, well, they can't assault out of them. And don't talk about scorpions please, same problem, just no power weapons.

The only way foot councils, banshees and scorpions can assault safely is to have your serpent go flat out, right up close to enemy models but not where it can get its hatch blocked, then survive the round of shooting with 4++ cover, then on your turn, WITHOUT MOVING, disembark the assault troops who can then move/fleet (except scorps or Eldrad) and assault. ANY other method puts your T3 elves to the firing squad, since they can't assault the turn they hop out.

Nightspinners have rending (and dangerous terrain has no armor saves), and that generally means they are about as good v MEQ as prisms. So, if you need help against tanks, go prisms, but if Orks or Nids are swarming you, go spinners. Also, spinners can slow enemy troops and get lucky immobilizes on things like Land Raiders, even if you only clip them with the template while hitting another unit. In such a fast army, spinners give you more options, and since we can't out-shoot or out-assault almost any other army, we might as well win the movement phase.
