I was doing a bit of research for possible Tyrannofex models, and I heard about a model made by Armorcast called the "Exocrine", and I can't seem to find any, either on Ebay or on the Armorcast website. So I'm wondering... does anyone know where I can find 1 or 2 of these bad boys? I realize they're OOP since the 90s, but I'd really like to acquire a couple .

Any suggestions?

Ebay and bartertown are your best bets. Even the Dakka Swap Shop.

I actually just put out ads in the Swap Shop and Btown. No luck at Ebay, so hopefully I'll find something here.

Exocrines and Malefactors show up on ebay once in a while (although I got mine when they were still in production) :

That said, I find this Mythicast model being a better alternative for an Exocrine (just working on two):

Dang, how'd they avoid the GW lawsuits on those models Especially the bottom one.

IIRC, they were actually licensed to do it. All they did was cast the Epic models in a large scale with no modifications.

Kroothawk, I may disagree with you a lot, but then you go and post something like this and all I can say is thank you. I'm going to grab one of those for use until GW pull their finger out and release a Tyrannofex.

At that time, GW didn't produce models that big for 40k scale and Epicast, Armorcast and Forge World USA (not related to the later GW division of the same name) had that official licence to make those. Then GW retracted the licence and later started Forge World.

Don't forget to browse that website for other Aliens like the winged one. I hope to have painted pics of all those in my blog soon.
And Puppet's War has a nice spore and Alien mother as well.

I saw the not-Harpy, and while it's okay, the wings bug me. I've always been a fan of the Forgeworld tecnique, with the wings taking up the upper arm slot. Having them just sprout from what should be the bulk of their armour on their back just feels lazy.

That not-Tyrannofex is nice though. The legs and gun are very detail-shy though, but once GW release an actual Tyrannofex, I can just grab some Exocrine rules and use it as one of those and use actual Tyrannofexes.
