Hey guys I saw the system troopers made by Pig Iron Productions, I instantly fell in love with them. They use 28mm bases. They look really cool and I was thinking of buying some for squads in my imperial guard army. Could they be fielded for Warhammer 40k? Here's a link to their website and the page of the System Troopers Basic Infantry: http://www.pig-iron-productions.com/st1-system-troopers-basic-infantry-p-49.html

Black Templars are the best Space Marine Chapter out of all the Space Marines. They are the most fanatical marines out there. They are on an endless, eternal crusade for the god emperor. AND they get in the face of the enemy. Thats the way to get things done.

Pretty standard counts-as. You wouldn't be able to use them in a GW official event because they're not GW models, and some people might be sticklers and not let you use them for the same reason. Most people aren't dicks though, and I doubt you'd run into a problem. The only prohibiting factor is cost.

I don't even have a GW in my state! So I won't be going to any GW offical events. I would probably run them either as Vets with Carapace Armor or Kaskins. My club doesn't really care I don't think. I think the people at my club would like them

Wait, are you in Hawaii, because they don't have a GW store.

I would let you use those if I ran an official GW event, though because they're so friggin awesome!

I guarantee you that I'm not really as smart as the test says:

I live in Massachusetts. They closed the GW store back in 09. I know right, the models look cooler than the GW imperial guardsmen models!

Yes, you can.

I do.

GW model restrictions are irrelevant here.
Only 12 year olds play at the local GW (and now that the pub next door has closed, there's even less of a reason to go there).
GW don't run tournaments - haven't for three or more years.
GW don't even do prize support for tournaments anymore - so any need to kowtow or forelock tug and abide by their restrictions in exchange for prizes is also irrelevant.

I kinda feel sorry for you OS dudes who haven't thrown off the shackles yet.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

I like they're bits. I'll always lament that GW took away their better bitz orders with that crap they have now. I've been eyeing a couple other bits from other producers to bash into some imperial guard units, maybe turn them into some Adeptus Arbites...

I love the way these troopers look, if I bought them they would stand out from the crowd.

Using Pig Iron is pretty standard for IG players who don't have to care about GW store restrictions.
