Have any of you guys had a look at the new(ish) set of rules for DBA... I love them, I think there fantastic. DBA 1 had a quite a bit of eye bleed but this rule set is much better. Mind you that reading the rules is still a bit of the mission and who ever wrote them isn't that great at writing rules. But once there put into play. There great! (played them in both 15mm and 28mm )

The rules are a free download at the WRG Website. But the unofficial guide is on a separate (wadbag.com)

I really advise you guys go take a look ;D

I prefer DBMM, the tiny armies of DBA just don't do it for me. The look of hundreds of little hoplites and Psioli just seems more fun to me.

Fare enough. I play Early Imperial Roman, Seleucid, and Thracian's for DBMM. But If you want a quick beer and pretzels game, DBA is the way to go. Each game only lasts about 30min... hour tops

I suppose that's true. I have friends who play it (the same ones who play DBMM and FoG) but I never really got into the small scale battles. I think part of it is because I really enjoy the appearance of massive units. Probably why I chose soviets in FoW. But yea in DBMM a long wall of well painted hoplites just looks amazing, and I cant have that in DBA :(
