OK after reading the discription of Trazyn the Infinite, one of the new Necron lords, on the GW website i noticed this.
GW wrote:Trazyn the Infinite is a preserver of histories, artefacts and events. In his possession are technologies and relics that are so valuable as to be priceless. Amongst his collection are the fabled wraithbone choir of Altansar, the preserved head of Sebastian Thor, the ossified husk of an Enslaver and a giant man clad in baroque power armour. In such a dangerous galaxy, Trazyn is loath to go out and explore it himself, but with so many exquisite artefacts to see and catalogue, he cannot afford to miss out. As a result he will send out substitutes of himself to do his dirty work. On the battlefield this can become increasingly irritating, as killing what appears to be Trazyn may simply be a Lychguard or a Necron Lord. Meanwhile, somewhere nearby, the real Trazyn is busy smashing his way through his foes to get his metal hands on his latest acquisition.
Im thinking that IF it is one of the Primarchs it will most likely be Vulken.
-"A giant man". Primarchs are considered giant even by the standards of Space marines who are also consided giant compared to regular men and i doubt that a necron would be interested in your run of the mill, dime a dozen marine.
-"clad in baroque armour". Salamanders, known for their skill at forging and artificery (is that a word?). So it stands to reason Vulkan would have exceptionally baroque armour.
-Vulkan has disappeared without a trace. Other Primarchs have disappeared but its known where they disappeared where as Vulkan has just vanished. Could of been he ran afoul of a Necron tomb world while romping round the galaxy?
I had other points i was going to make but they arent really relevent.
Now i havent read the Bio of Trazyn the Infinite in the new dex so i dont know whether it elaborates on the items in his collection or not but given that there are hints on the other loyalist primarchs sprinkled around the place i think its possible that Vulkan could be in the possession of a Necron lord.
What are the thoughts, ponderings and musings of my fellow Dakka members on this? Could i be onto something here or am i just blowing smoke outta my like usual?

I like that thought. Held in eternal status by the necrons who value his ability with crafting metal when they un-statis-fy him. It sounds cool. Probably wrong but I do love that idea

How did he get Thor's head though? Shouldn't that have been on Terra?
It seems like they'd need pretty powerful restraints to keep Vulkan contained when they need him.

You'd think so wouldnt you?

After 10 thousand years of stasis/imprisonment in the hands of necrons one imagines he would be pretty pissed should he ever get released.

There are many, many theories about what that could be referring to - Vulkan, Corax, Russ, Khan, a standard Space Marine, the last Thunder Warrior...
Personally, I don't think it's a primarch. I also know that we'll never get an official answer.

There was a mention of it before, can't remember the thread at the moment. Most thought it was a primarch of some sort I think.

The most likely explaination is that its a Primarch, which one is up to speculation.
Russ was last seen entering the Eye of Terror so he is out.
Khan was last seen riding into the Webway and is rumored to be a prisoner of Vect.
Robute is in stasis.
The Lion is in the Rock so he is out.
Corax was last seen heading for the Eye of Terror.
Vulkan is completely unknown.
so the only Primarchs that it could possably be is Corax or Vulkan as they were both last seen in real space(the ones in the Web Way and Warp are beyond the reach of the Crons)
Assuming we are only taking Loyal primarchs for consideration. of course the only traitor primarchs avaliable are Alpharus/Omegon. the others are all in the warp.

I'll quote what I said in the main Necron thread to add my opinion:
Just Dave wrote:Maelstrom808 wrote:Aandiin wrote:So i have preordered my new 'crons and i'm following this thread closely, but i can't believe we havn't seen any speculations about this bolded bit yet:
Trazyn the Infinite: He is a Necron who woke very early and is fascinated with studying and collecting history. His tomb world is filled with secret trinkets including (I quote) 'a giant of a man clad in baroque power armor'. He even will attack other Necron tomb worlds to capture artifacts from them that he doesn't think they deserve.
A necron lord with his very own Primarch? And if so...who is it? Jaghatai Khan, Leman Russ, Vulkan and Corax all currently missing/unknown status, not counting the traitors here 'cause most of them are now demon princes and accounted for...except maybe Alpharius/Omegon whoever is still alive of them IF one got killed by Roboute Guilliman. legions 2 and 11 are deleted from the imperial records so could be something from either of those....
Anyone have any wild speculations while we wait?
There was some talk about it early on. Anyway, nothing about that statement lends me to jump to the Primarch conclusion. ALL space marines are giants among men, and baroque power armor basicly just means that it's elaborate, which being a subjective term, really could belong to any important or well-decorated marine.
This guy is spot on.
I think Games Workshop clearly wrote it to imply that it's a Primarch - and therefore create hype/speculation like this - but to also leave it ambiguous so it can still be debated over. IIRC a similar thing occurs in the new DE 'dex.
I wouldn't think about it too much; I highly doubt an answer will ever be revealed.

You would seem to have overlooked the prospect that Russ and Khan might not have spent the last ten millennia in one place. Likewise, since whether or not the giant figure is alive or not is unclear, it could as easily be Night Haunter, Ferrus Manus or Rogal Dorn. As Just Dave said, however, the purpose of hints like this is to create mystery, not to provide answers.

It's a Primarch. Which one is up to speculation. I really, really, really want it to be Ferrus Manus, although he has a bad case of not having a head. There's literally no other character in 40k that is high profile enough to have this kind of thing about him. I'd disagree that could as easily be either of those three, since we know for a fact they're dead. There may well have been stories created that could lend to the possibility of Ferrus's body being taken to Mars, but we know he had his head cut off and we know Curze has had his head cut off , because we've had scenes in Black Library describing exactly what happened. Dorn's body is in a huge slab of amber, so we know where he is.

I read a page of fluff, in which Trazyn is having a chat with Sicarus after a battle. He mentions that Sicarus that He will be seeing him soon, as he plans to visit Mccrage. He says Guliman is an old friend, and would be better served in his company, than theirs.
I don't think GW would waste the text if it wasn't to imply a Primarch.

Reading comprehension? Also, the only source for Dorn's body being preserved is Watson's Space Marine, which is horrendously out of date; the more recent Index Astartes mentions only the recovery and display of his hand.
