I suddenly had a vision from the Emperor, he hath revealed to me the awesome raw short ranged firepower of sternguards.

The CML Terminators are an awful choice in this list. You might as well get Devastators and save a bunch of points, if you really want to go with infantry shooting heavy weapons.

Another scoring unit is really the way I'd go. Either fitting in Pedro Kantor to make those LR Sternguard scoring, or another mech Tactical Squad would round out the list.

I also don't like mixing the dakka Pred with the AC/Las. Make them both the same, so the opponent doesn't have such a clear target priority.

Sweet as, all noted, cheers for the advice.

What's your take on the sternies in the LRC?

Putting the Stern in the LR leaves the Termies without a ride. It also bottles up the great SternGuard shootyness until they get out. Once out they can either shoot or assault.
A better option would be a drop-pod. You can get them into action on turn 1 where they can immediately lay down some pain. 10 sternguard double-tapping poison (4 to hit 2 to wound) has a decent chance of dropping even big nasties like Greater Daemons or Trygon TMCs. You can also give them 2 heavy flamers to bring real pain to any Ork horde. Even if the Ork player swamps them next turn (no one playing Boyz wants 2 heavy flamers running around in their backfield) it's still a win since he is not heading towards your main body with a big chunk of his army.

Life isn't fair. But wouldn't it be worse if Life were fair, and all of the really terrible things that happen to us were because we deserved them?

I'm not sure where you are going with this list, but I think the tac-termies are not worth it in this list. I would suggest to go all out with your idea or go back to the standard stern+pod dkellyj suggest. If you go through with it, here's what I would suggest:

Libby (Null Zone, Avenger) 100

Tactical Melta, Missle, Cmbiflmr Rhino 220
Tactical melta, Missile, PwrFst, Rhino 235

8 Sternguards, 3 combi-melta 215
LRC, EA, Multi-melta 275

8 Sternguards, 3 combi-melta 215
LRR, EA, Multi-melta 265

5 Devastator, 4xMissile launchers, Razorback w/ twin-lascanon 225

A little bit less LR fire support, but now you get two AV14 threat that must be dealt with instead of one, maximizing you chances to get your Sternguards to their intended target(s).

I would be tempted to try that list myself! If you could fit Pedro in there too, that would be awesome! (swapping a Tactical for a scout squad, either a sniper objective-sitters or LSS aggressive unit would probably give you enough points for that)

My two cents!

Praise the emperor, bless your weapon and pass the ammo!

Sternie pod sounds good, hit hard and fast in first turn, yet I don't like it how they are likely to die next turn. I wanted a more durable approach make more use of such a good unit. True the LR bottles it shooting for it has no fireports yet it does keep them safer than paper armour rhino. A LRC carring sternguard would massacre a unit or decimate two seperate units in a shooting phase which I like the idea of.

That list is one dam cool list, dual raider/sternguards looks real fun! To be honest I am not sure where I am going with this list either, I just wanted some sternguard in some landraider and the rest of the list is what I currently own. I like the idea of swapping a tactical for a scout to fit Pedro in there!!! Sternie scoring units ftw!!!
