I like it. Not to bright, but a muted glow.
Also, this is the wrong section. It should go in the "Showcase" section.

Not bad, especially for a first try.

Get a little more lighting off center (looks like most of the OSL is too central on the torso), amp up the light intensity, and you're well on your way to a rockin' paint job.

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?

The glow cast on the model looks pretty good, but the overall effect isn't quite right. Focus on proper placement and intensity in relation to the light source, remembering to make sure that source is significantly brighter than the glow it casts. You're definitely on the right track, though.

Hmmm... perhaps its the lack of enough white on the halbred itself?

The source needs to be brighter, and I don't think I used enough white on the upper highlight of the halbred, towards the back. I'll correct that tomorrow.
