With so many German lists being Veteran, I figured we could use some variety in the local meta. We already needed more German players in our group, and the few that were there have just tank or mechanized lists.

So I've latched onto the Grenadierkompanie as my primary German army, with my Panzer Lehr and Panzergrenadier Lehr being secondary (and pretty much already done in terms of purchases).

I also like the idea of the poor bloody infantry, since I've almost completed my British/Polish rifle company from the PDFs. After all, the German blitz eventually wore down, when ground needed to be held and the invasion halted, it was the basic Grenadiers holding the line.

There's two lists currently, the Confident Trained list from Earth & Steel, and a Confidant Veteran in Fortress Europe that should also be coming to the compilation books. I'll be painting any Grenadierkompanie specific miniatures/units I buy for the Eastern front, but for the most part will be using a variety of stuff from my collection across both E&S and Grey Wolf.

At 1750 points, it's a refreshingly large amount of stuff I can take, especially in the E&S CT list. And what's also nice is that I can buy field fortifications. I'm planning to also make a joke list with a full 5-6 feet of both mines and barbed wire, just to force people to use pioneers as pioneers.

Here's the list I have so far:

Earth & Steel Grenadierkompanie
HQ with 2 Cmd Panzerfaust SMG, 1 Panzershrek Team, 2 8cm mortars - 115
Grenadier Platoon with 7 teams - 130
Grenadier Platoon with 7 teams - 130
Grenadier Platoon with 7 teams - 130
Grenadier Machine-gun Platoon with 1 Cmd SMG and 4 HMGs (usually combat attached)
Grenadier Anti-tank Gun Platoon with 1 Cmd SMG and 3 PaK40s - 120
4 Marder III Ms - 205
2 Jagdpanthers - 460
3 Panzerwerfer 42s with extra crew - 180
Luftwaffe allied 8.8cm FLaK36s with extra crew - 115
Total: 1740

I'm planning to get the German 10.5cm artillery and switch out some stuff to take them, basically the standard 105 everyone has, in this list, I have a feeling I'll need the higher AT rating for bombardments, it also comes with 2 observers instead of just so I can get better coverage with them.
