I have a TC20 compressor from Airbrush Depot - http://www.tcpglobal.com/airbrushdepot/compress.aspx#abd_tc20
It will not hold any air, it runs constantly. I have taken out all the fittings and put new teflon tape on them and they are not leaking. The only other place I can feel air leaking is around a round metal plug on the back of the unit where the air is sucked in to the unit. It looks like a copper plug with tons of little holes in it. What is this called and where can I get a new one?

The Ad on the website says it has a two year warrenty, RMA the sucker.
Alternatly return it and instead buy a real aircompressor and a reduction fitting at a home improvement store.

uh... your sure its not fine?
It has no tank, it DOESNT hold any air.
Do you mean that even when you have it hooked up to the airbrush, it STILL runs, even when the brush isn't open?

It is past it's two year replacement window. And yeah, even when the airbrush is not hooked up it runs constantly. Before it would run up to about 45 PSI on the guage and just hold there. It doesn't have a tank but it does hold a very small amount of pressurized air internally.

Probably a bad gasket around the cylinder head. But since its a fairly cheap compressor and its over two years old id say its reached its end and to buy a new one. Get an Iwata, my Iwata dealer gives me free repairs for life on my compressor, though I've had not one problem with it. Not the average shop but Iwata itself has amazing customer service and warranties.
