So, I have a stupid sounding question..

Does the Chaos Space Marine Daemon Prince come on the Terminator sized bases, or the larger ones used for wraithlords and dreadnoughts?

This is my Leman Russ. There are many out there like it, but this one is mine. Without it, I am useless. Without me, it is useless.

Obliterators: They've got a gun for that.

The plastic Daemon Prince comes on the 60mm base like the Dreadnoughts. The last time I bought one (2004), the metal Daemon Prince came with a 40mm base same as the Terminators.

60mm.

Did the old one come on a 40mm? Interesting. Looking it up as we speak...

Lots of Old models have smaller basses so I would believe that to be true.

Hmm. So if I were to make my own for my Fiance, should I get the 60MM, or the 40MM, if both are available? Or just do both and magnetize? Lol.

The 60mm as the 40mm isn't the current base size.

The standard 40K Prince came on a 40mm. The Nurgle Prince came on a 60mm.

So... really either of them would work then?

Go 60mm in a friendly game it probably wouldn't matter but in a tornament you might hit some problems.

Usually said older models were smaller; not in this case! That model didn't like to stand up much.

The rule is that a model can't go on a base smaller than what it came with. If you're scratchbuilding your own, I'd probably go with a dreadnought-sized base since they're the standard now.

Luckily, we don't really do anything but fun games so that's all good.

Fair enough. I'll have to see if I can pick up a spare 60MM base.

Actually, the rule is that if you use anything other than what the model is supplied with, you need your opponents permission to field the model.

Otherwise, I would agree, the 60mm base is probably the best way to go.

The sink.

60mm. Just bought a couple packs of those for my demon princes and some old greater demons that didn't come with the right bases.
