Hey there. I have a small force of Space Marines I want to start playing with, but I need to sort myself a Tactical squad to build the force I want. Here's what I have in mind right now:

HQ
Captain - Plasma Pistol + Chainsword = 115 pts

Elites
Terminator Squad - 4 Terminators with Storm Bolters + Power fist/Sgt with Power sword = 200 pts

Troops
Combat Squad - 4 Marines with Bolters/Sgt with Bolt Pistol + Chainsword = 90 pts
Combat Squad - 4 Marines with Bolters/ Sgt with Bolt Pistol + Chainsword = 90 pts

Total = 495 pts

How does this look? This will be the very first army I start playing with so I want to keep it simple but effective.

FoC does not really work at 500 pts, usually other rules are played.

I think I would go for bikes if you really need to fit in this points range or give your squads razorbacks.
