Hey Dakka, this list is a hybrid between blob and mech, if you think it will be absolutely awful; let me know please. I am hoping for the list to be competitive. And i have 110 points to spend and i don't know where to put them. Thanks in advance C&C extremely welcome!

Blob bubblewraps both CCSs and the HWSs, PCS issues orders to blob, vets go to objectives/ take out anything they can, Sentinel Outflanks and hits side armor of any tank threats. I'm trying to keep the sentinel because he has done very well in the past, but if he's a must go I will consider it.

My only concern would be that you only have 55 men. In my last game I lost 21 troops to a frag salvo and an exploding tank before my first turn. I do a blob/gunline/tank list and I don't feel comfortable with that few models, since there's no redundancy and guardsmen die in droves. At 1250 I'd have 95 men, 2 tanks and an artillery.

My suggestion would be to drop one CCS. You could have just one with a lascannon, 2 plasmas and a MoO and save 120. With the 110 you said you have to spare, that's enough for a second blob with flamers and 45 points to spare. You could then drop an autocannon HWS and get a third chimera with a regular infantry squad and have 15 points to arm them.

Something like that wouldn't change your whole army's feel, just beef it up with more units.

Drop the PWs in the Vets. Drop the Sniper Rifles in the CCS. Fill the special weapon slots of the Vets and the PCS. I would see if you can get a Chimera for the PCS to run them with your vets. Maybe upgrade the PCS to melta guns over flamers, that is what the hull HFs are for.

I like LCs, 2x Plasma guns, and Camo cloaks in my CCS. You could also look at droping a CCS for a Lord Commissar for your HWSs and Creed for the remaining CCS. I would consider dropping the MoOs do the high degree of scatter (since you have a few Chimeras going in).

The Sentinel should have a AC to give it a better chance to actually hit with a shot.

If you want to leave the LC on the Sentinel, go for it. That will give you 1250pts. If you drop the camo cloak from the Lord, you could also use those 20pts to give the Blob two ACs to give them some long range fire power. You were also alittle off on your PCS points, as 3x Flamers on a PCS is 45pts, not 70pts. I think 3 Chimeras with 9 ACs and 4 LCs will give you plenty of fire power (if you give the blob 2 ACs), specially with 4 Orders a turn. Worse comes to worse, you send in the blob and give them 'For Cadia!' on a charge.

At his price, yeah, he can be. For me, if I have 4 Orders a turn I can give he is worth it. You then have to weigh his cost against a second CCS and the loss of a lord commissar for the HWSs. That is something you the player need to choose. If you feel you can work with a second CCS at the loss of the Lord, that is your choice. To me, Creed and a Lord Commissar (with a camo cloak) for 170pts is about equal to a CCS kitted out.

There really is no right or wrong answer... at the end of the day 1250pts is 1250pts. I do feel there are some ways to spend it over others, but that comes down to personal choice.

I'll give him a try for sure. Four orders would be nice, as i can give one to all of my HWSs. My only reasoning for taking a second CCS was for the second MoO honsetly, i just wanted to get another ordinace shot without taking any medusas or anything. However now that i have some chimeras, it might be a good idea, so they dont take all of the enemy's AT shots.

I upped the list to 1750 pts. And this is what i came up with, if i have better luck with different changes I'd love to know. Thanks, Also, i have an extra 20 points to spend.. Camo Cloaks on the CCS?
