Hi guys,

Jut finished my first 2 models - a pair of Orks from the 'Boyz set.

I'm fairly happy with them for a first attempt, I'm finding the layering/highlighting fairly difficult at the moment - are layers (except the base) supposed to be very watery?

Anyway let me know what you think .

Cheers.

They look really nice. Add some basing and they are perfect.

First attempt? Damn. Those are really, really good looking. The shading on the skin is especially good. Drill out the barrels, glue some basing on, and call it a day.

Would have to agree with the two posts so far! Great job for first minis! As for the layering, each layer does not need to be too watery - its a fine balance. Some people like to use neat whilst layering and some like to water down (of course with varying degrees in between these cases!). It's a personal preference thing I think. The only thing is not to apply paint which will look too thick and therefore destroy details etc. Drill the barrels and slap on some sand/terrain and that will finish your boyz off nicely!

Wow, those are amazing for a first try. I can't really give you any painting tips, but drill those barrels out and get those bases done!
