Hey guys,

I'm putting decals on all my marine's shoulder pads and using 'ard coat to seal them in. I now need a matte varnish to take away that shine. What is the best matte varnish out there that I can just brush on instead of spraying the entire model?

Cheers in advance

Vallejo do a matte varnish you can brush on (thin with water). Couldn't say if it's the best but nine times out of ten their products are very good.

In the past I have used a mix of Elmer glue, 'Ard coat and water. You can lean the mixture out spending on the finish once it dries. More Elmer glue than 'Ard coat will dull it down nice.

Just wondering what the difference between the matte and satin vallejo varnishes? Also does anyone have experience with the vallejo decal fix?
