Goal: 100% WYSIWUG 'The Purge' Chaos Space marine army using Grey Knights Codex.

Modeling: Ornate armor (Sanguinary guard torsos a must), Diseased swords as force weapons, ornate storm bolters, Knight Helms for Justicars, Plumed Knight Helms for Purifiers, Skullcannon's [instead of Psycannons], ect...

Color Scheme: Paint scheme for The Purge from the Chaos Space Marine book. Armor trimmed in gold, brilliant purple gloss metallic power packs with a touch of gold, Large flat topped swords covered in a fungal rot. I wanted to use the colors of nurgle to create an army that had the dull, dirty, dark feel to it but had accent colors (Gold/Purple) that made the army really 'pop'. I also needed something that I could do quickly as my modeling/painting time is extremely limited.

I had been looking for a way to play a more potent chaos army for a while, when the Grey Knight codex came out it really inspired me build a elite nurgle chaos army. I started slacking on the painting end so I am starting up this blog to [hopefully] give me the push I need to finish the army. I normally don't like posting pictures of half finished stuff so i'll post up everything I got how it is right now, and update as units get completed.


Kindly note that this is a painting and modeling blog, not a debate thread. I would appreciate comments and discussion of my use of the Grey Knights codex to play a Chaos Legion being kept to PM.
