If your going to go bikes it's all or nothing. Termies are to slow to help most of your army. Command squads I have found are also not worth it at all for the cost of them. I run scars and my list at a recent tourney was

205 khan w/ moondrakkan
300 9x bike squad w/ 2x melta, attack bike w/mm, power weapon
300 9x bike squad w/ 2x melta, attack bike w/mm, power weapon
310 9x bike squad w/ 2x melta, attack bike w/mm, power fist
310 9x bike squad w/ 2x melta, attack bike w/mm, power fist
275 Land Raider w/ EA, MM
100 1x speeder w/ typhoon, MM
100 1x speeder w/ typhoon, MM
100 1x speeder w/ typhoon, MM

I hated the raider and have since removed it from the list. With bikes how you do it is pretty much just group and proceed to move from left to right of the board. it limits them on what they can shoot and allows you to have all your forces available to account for misses. I do like running khan mostly because a squad of 9 marine bikers with furious charge is a valid threat in a lot of cases.

Also hellfire rounds are not that great IMO

Thanks for a very thorough reply!

That certainly is a lot of melty goodness in your list. how do you typically handle hordes? Just unload bolters and assault?

With hordes, you'd take advantage of the fact that bikes are relentless (unleashing the twin linked bolters at 24") and assault when/if you want to, with khan giving furious charge to the bikes you mess up an ork squad and they'll be wounding you on 6's (str3 vs. T4(5)).
