On the back of a hog.

So these guys are no longer available via GW, and I never liked the stiff models much anyway.

Anyone have any conversion ideas to be able to field these?

I was thinking maybe something using the DE Talos model, but I'm not sure how to replace the fleshy bits with more machine-like parts.

Would appreciate any input.

The Killa Kan arms look suitable mechanical for that purpose. Have GW really stopped selling Tom Spyders?

Well I know the body of the tomb spyder is a Destroyer body, not sure about the legs and arms though...

A Destroyer would certainly be a good start. The head at the front would be the only difficult bit - the various Spyder claws/limbs could easily be replaced by a random collection of hi-tech looking bits. Personally I wouldn't use Killa Kan bits, they just look too lo-tech.

Of course, an optimist would say the GW ones have vanished because plastic ones will be relased in a few months, but i wouldn't bet on it...
