I've never actually played Blood Angels before - this is just a rough idea for a mech list. Looking for some general advice. I'd like it to be competitive, but keep it somewhat interesting and fluffy (is this fluffy at all?). I really like the idea of playing with lots of fast vehicles...barrage the opponent with firepower while approaching quickly, then assault with small, elite combat squads.

That should come to 2000 points on the dot. I'm not really sure how this list would play out, but I'm a little worried about the lack of power weapons (or their equivalent) in combat. Even with Furious Charge, 5 assault marines won't be too terrifying. I guess I could shoot most things to death...but should I drop something to give the Sang Priests or assault marines a power weapon or power fist?

So I'd really like to try to fit power weapons or maybe power fists into each of the assault marine squads...but that would require dropping 60-100 points and I can't think of anything to cut. Help (and general C&C) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Edit: I'm thinking about dropping a Librarian to put Power Fists into all the Assault Squads. Good idea or bad idea?

This is not a bad start to a list. I do think the Stormraven + cargo is unlikely to be worth the 470 points you're spending on it.

Also, if you want Vindicators, I think it would be better to give the Razorbacks TL-ACs. The basic idea would be to take the middle of the field turn 1, pop smoke, and eat a turn of shooting. Then, you unleash hell. Against horde-type armies, you are fast enough that you can still make them eat several turns of shooting.

If you do this, I think you really do want those Power Fists and Priests, so you can charge weakened stuff.

So, dropping the SR and its cargo frees up 470 points. I'd invest 145 in a third Vindicator, and 115 in a third Baal. I'd give all the Baals TL-ACs, you really need the extra anti-vehicle. This may change depending on what the new Necron players do though, so magnetizing those turrets if you can. You're left with 210 to spend. You can blow 100 on Power Fists, and then maybe cut one Priest to take a fifth Razorback squad with a Flamer, which is 160. Remember, you can keep Priests inside Razorbacks, which gives you more coverage.

Current Record: 5 Wins, 6 Draws, 3 Losses 2000 points

In Progress: 500 points

Yes in cc you'll die, most of the time anyway.

You have too many priests and expect too much from the razorback units.

I reckon you'll want 2 stormravens to work. Why not go for a rhino for the DC?

Your list is fun so play it .
