Well they can join other independent characters. They can't join mephiston (as an example)

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

P48. You cannot join units that always consist of one model APART FROM other ICs.

As long as the IC is not attempting to join a unit that is always a single modell unit, it can attach to the unit.

Blood for the bloo... wait no, I meant for Sanguinius!
