Is this a shooting attack. It happens at the beginning of the shooting phase, but what if Anrakyr is in a command barge. Can the barge move more then 6 inches and he still use this ability? and if he can how far is the limit? Can the vehicle move flat out and the power still be used? Thanks

Does it say it's a shooting attack with a shooting attack profile?

No it doesnt say it is a shooting attack, just occurs at the start of your shooting phase, and if an enemy vehicle is within 18 inches and LoS roll a d6 and on 3+ you can use it to shoot.

if it doesn't say it's a PSA, and it doesn't have a statline like a weapon (STR, AP, Range) it's not a PSA.

Yes, MitM is separate from Anrakyr's own shooting. Nowhere does it mention, in place of shooting, only that it is at the start of the shooting phase. If it had said in place of shooting, you could argue that he had to have the opportunity to shoot. Also, there are no psychic powers in C:N, so there are no PSAs.

It does not have a weapon profile or directly say it is a shooting attack so it would not be a shooting attack.

Ok Thanks. That is awesome, so I can put him in a command barge, move him flat out to get within range. Take over an enemy vehicle, and blow some stuff up and still get my cover save for moving flat out. Epic Win!

I am very tempted to try this on one of the CSM players I know and try and get his defiler to blow up his Khorn zerkers or his LR to blow up his defiler.

Yep, he works exactly like that. Even better you can fly over one enemy unit, do sweep attacks, then try and take over a unit in the shooting phase....

I don't have the codex with me as I am at work, but I don't think he can take a command barge. Now you can buy one for an overlord and then hop him in it once the game has begun.

BT uses the Codex Astartes as toilet paper. They’re an Imp Fist successor, recruit from multiple planets, and are known to be the largest Chapter in the galaxy. They’re on a constant Crusade, keeping it real for the Emperor and not bumming around like the other guys. They hate psykers and can’t ally with them. They’re basically an entire chapter of Chaplains. CC lunatics. What every Space Marine should aspire to be, if not trapped in a Matt Ward nightmare.

Even better, Anrakyr can fly over a unit, sweep them, disembark, take control of a tank, and then fire his Tachyon Arrow at another unit, then assault them. I guess computers really can multi-task better than living things.
