Will Townsend must be making some serious money by now. His release rate has gone up exponentially this year! The Quality Price and range is great, Battlefront should be more than a little concerned about this.

EDIT Still got the 'fiddly' bloody tracks though ughhh

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

Try Revell.

Wills are so easy to build... the tracks are a dodle!

I want these StuGs. About the tracks -- what is interesting is that the SdKfz 251 tracks all come as one piece; I am not sure why the larger tank tracks can't be made this way.

I like the seperate tracks. You can make objective markers with a tank that has been "tracked" very easly with them, just heat up the bottom track and pull one side flat. A few little guys trying to fix the track and you have a unique objective marker.

+1 Dirty Jon, I have bitched about this so often on Dakka about why Will Townsend insists on fiddly tracks, at 15mm scale it really doesn't matter. The 251's showed you can keep the quality high and standard high. Zvesda does it with its models, I am not saying mould the tracks on, just do what he did with the 251's.
I do use the revell contacta stuff and absolutely love it. Big P, you know I respect you, but I really have to disagree on the tracks issue, the rest of the model is brilliant (apart from changing the barrels for brass ones )

You've never built a single link trackset then...

Lucky you.

If you think PSC is fiddly, then building the tracks link by link would kill you...

Fancy selling some of that Armour? lol. I eventually want to see someone collect an Entire Soviet T-34 Tank Division in 15mm think of the numbers on the field... It would give me an excuse to field my 15 Panther D's.

Waiting patiently to see more British related releases. Brits tend to be the poor step children when it comes to World War II mini lines...:(

Planning to pick up a few boxes of the Shermans, though, to build up my midwar desert armor force. Might pick up some more and do some conversions to Fireflies for late war.

True on the British comment.

I believe a Firefly set is planned for release, because the Firefly is a different, somewhat longer tank. I assume this will be a sprue of M4A4 with a long barrel/counterweight on the sprue, implying up to 5 in a box. I'm also getting De Ja Vu about posting this.

"There's a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious—makes you so sick at heart—that you can't take part. You can't even passively take part. And you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop. And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all" Mario Savio

It took him a while to get to that position though, initially he didn't like them because they weren't 'proper' tanks.

The Jagdpanzer IV was nicknamed 'Guderians Duck'.

I have never really figured that one out...

I do like the idea of Guderian stood on a tank shouting "Hey Adolf... These are fecking kewl!"

No doubt, he'd long got over his 'proper tanks' problem by the time the Hetzer arrived. IIRC he wasn't fond of the later 'over engineered' stuff, the Hetzer doesn't fall into that category.

Do they 'waddle' like a Matilda?

That's a shame...I've already gone the BF route on mine. Got some of the Plastic Soldier Panzer IVs, though, and I think they are quite nice!

I think the troops called it that since the PaK 42 L/70 gun was so heavy, it made the Jagdpanzer nose-heavy, making it difficult to maneuver in rough terrain. They eventually had to install steel road wheels on the front to replace the ones with rubber rims on them to prevent them from being dislocated by the weight of the vehicle.

So i guess it did "waddle" while in rough terrain...lol!
