Why is every person i talk to about Crons gung ho for the Tesla Carbines? I get it the roll of a 6 to hit gives you two extra hits but i feel like the Gauss Blasters are better personally...am i missing something? Because a 6 to hit gives you 3 Strength 5 hits instead of one? That's pretty good even without any AP.

I'm only using tesla carbines over gauss blasters because I usually play against elite armies where the AP 4 won't help, and the fact that they're assault rather than rapid fire can make a major difference. Against weaker armies - say tyranids, tau, eldar, etc. - then yes, I'd probably go with gauss blasters.

Assault 1 and the tesla rule, would be my guess.

Your expected number of shots is roughly the models in the unit, whcih helps, and AP- against MEQ isnt any different to AP4.
