I currently have roughly 2200 points I've been playing a half a year now and my play group wants to get into apocalypse. I was thinking of combining a grey knight army and tau army theoretically they could be on a team and would do excellent or am i too new and missing something.

Bring 50 broadsides and 100 shield drones.
Srsly though, yeah, Tau/GK actually make a really good combo.

AAAAAAAAAGH! The heresy! Well... You can use devilfishes to transport paladins while using broadsides alongside Psyflemen for an unbelievable AT power...
... But remind... GK can fight with taus for a while if a daemon is around, but the entire tau colony is doomed to exterminatus shortly after...

I was thinking grey knights are infantry in stormravens with nemesis dreadnoughts, tau bring hammerheads and and crisis suits. can terminators ride in a stormraven.

Fluffwise, it could happen because the Ordos Malleus is willing to use forbidden xenos tech to fight daemons. GK are pretty radical so it might be a bit of a stretch, but at least the Tau aren't cartoonishly evil bad guys who do bad things for the sake of being bad.
Gameplay wise, you've got fire support with hammerheads and broadsides, then midrange fire and assault with GK. Should do well.

So ya terminators can ride in gunships but can the gunship deep strike, haven't played GK before?
