So, I've read the lexicanum, and I was wondering what other little tidbits might not be mentioned there, or glossed over in some way. Something about the man of science overstepping his bounds has always been a story I have enjoyed considering, and Bile seems to fit this mold quite well. What can you tell me about him?

I believe he studied in Commorragh at a place called the "House of Flesh", run by the most powerful Haemonculi Coven (The Prophets of Flesh).

Really he's just a human Haemonculus though. A bajillion more of him exist in Commorragh.

According to the Blood Angels novels, he has also created countless clones of himself. He was using these to search for and gather genetic information from Space Marines (and where possible, Primarchs like when one of them manages to steal the blood of Sanguinius) to try to unlock the Emperor's genetic code so he can clone him as well.

It's possible that he interfered with the 21st Cursed Founding of Space Marines.

"Fulgrim" has a lot of stuff on him. There are little tidbits that show stuff from his perspective, but not much. You see how he goes too far and moves from Apothecary to Mad Scientist.
