Hi all!

Once again I will be running the TANKS-giving event at Eagle & Empire in Alexandria, VA. This year, I am going with a 2,000 pt Apocalypse format. Here are the details:

WHEN: Saturday, 26 November 2011

TIME: The game will start at 12 Noon. Late arrivals will join as reinforcements.

GAME TYPE: Apocalypse!

POINTS: 2,000 points, including a maximum of 2 data sheets. Sides will be balanced based on the number of super heavies.

SCENARIO: Wandering hordes of genetically engineered super-turkeys (the result of an Adeptus Mechanicus experiment gone wrong) are ravaging the landscape! Your forces have been deployed to stop them, whether it be to save the Imperial population, unlock the secrets jealously guarded by the Mechanicus, or simply for some good eatin’!

The turkeys will be represented on the table by groups of small markers. These markers will have a Monstrous Creature statline, and will be controlled by the game master. The goal is to kill as many of these turkeys as possible, and claim the remains! Turkeys can only be “picked up” by infantry and walker models. Those that are killed by shooting lay where they fall until a claiming unit can get into base to base contact. Turkeys that are killed in hand to hand combat are claimed immediately. At the end of the game, the team with the most turkeys wins! Ties are decided by kill points.

Let me know if you have any questions or are interested in attending!

Just the weekly *BUMP*.

I've been doing some thinking, and I have decided to use the Genestealer statline from the Tyranids codex for the turkeys. I know, I know, they aren't MCs, but that line felt about "right" for what I'm trying to achieve. Also, bring along some extra models! If turnout is low, then I might boost the points value of the game to make it more "interesting."
