Since a huge part on how this works is centered out on the word character I would just like too point out that from wha I read is that the Tesseract Labyrinth only works agaisnt necrons and monstrous creatures right now because the defining feature of "character is only seen IIRC in the new necron codex. It clearly doesnt say IC but merely character which can be seen as a subdefining term beside the unit type in the points sections of the codex/unit entry. I posting this to see if 1, i missed somthing and 2, too let poeple now and discuss it.

The GK codex is packed with the "character" designation.

Yep, rulebook is painfully clear on what a character is IMHO.

It covers both ICs and any squad upgrade character.

Also, the last few codexes (Blood Angels on) have had single model units that are clearly defined as being 'characters'.
