So, I played Necrons for a very long time, winning several tournaments with my list (which is practically my 1000 point list minus wraiths and a tomb spyder) and am working on a few new lists, let me know what you think... One point with me is, I will never drop the Nightbringer, he is what got me to play Necron and he is whats keeping me with Necrons.

Ctan can only take 2 powers, not 3. Drop the swarm and the shards, and that will be nearly the cost of thunderbolt, which is a nice S9 AP2 assault 1 shot, that is basically the nightbringer's ranged attack with an another name.
Also you need more antitank. Warrior hoards and a couple of gauss cannons aren't going to cut it.

Imo, drop the Heavy Destroyers and replace them with Harbingers of Destruction, each going into one of the Warrior units, one of them gets a Solar Pulse. Replace the Destroyer Lord with a regular Overlord.

Much more reliable and flexible than 2 Heavy Destroyers as they are way too easy to take down - remember, in the new codex, when both are down, they cannot get back up with RP.

When all 4 are down you mean. Destroyers and H.Destroyers are the same thing now.
Just different weapons.

Yeah, that is pretty silly.

My bad, should have said that I was talking about the 1k list.

Hmm, the Thunderbolt seems extremely expensive to me. About 50 points for a 24'' S9 AP 2 attack? A Harbinger of Destruction gets a 36'' S8 AP 2 weapon and costs 10 points less...then again if you really want to field a C'Tan, I'd always get Worldscape and maybe even equip the Crypteks with Tremorstaves.

I actually find that combo to be a bit overrated imo. It doesn't really do much against MEQs, who are the most common armies out there.

I agree with you and am unlikely to field any C'Tan myself, yet he said that he will field a C'Tan no matter what and from all of his abilities, Wordscape appears to be the best.

Definitely. I used a C'tan with worldscape, crypteks with tremorstaves, and orikan the diviner in a Campaign game with 5000+ points on both sides. I made a lot of enemies that day.
