alrighty im having trouble with ramming. basically the strength of the hits. if i get rammed and my opponent moves 12 inches is that strength added to my hit on him. i looked in the rulebook and got totally confused

Yes, look at PG 69 BGB. Both vehicles follow the lil "chart"

Example a Rhino is ramming your Chimera.

Rhino 11 ='s +1
Move 12 ='s +4
Tank ='s +1 Str6 vs AV 12Chim

Chimera 12 ='s +2
Move 12 ='s +4
Tank ='s +1 Str 7 vs AV 11 Rhino

Also, do remember that you get +1S for every FULL 3" moved so it is essentially impossible to get the maximum (e.g. a normal vehicle moves maximum of 12" - +4S is impossible as you would have to be EXACTLY 12" away, not a mm more or less)

Yep, Generally ramming gets you nowhere, Pretty much only do it with Battlewagons.
