I'm thinking about starting a Space Wolves army downside is I have no idea where to start. I've only heard they are awesome with missiles and rune priests and such which sounds pretty awesome to me. So dakka friends where should I start?

Thanks to anyone who answers, ILY

Advice on how to build a competitive space wolf army, including tactics on every single unit.

Basically the best way to start would be picking up a Rune Priest as HQ, and a couple of Space Wolf Packs (for Grey Hunters) with Razorbacks (always buy these as they are the same price, but you get the components to build both a rhino and a razorback), then pick up some boxes of Long Fangs. The best way to get a multitude of missile launchers is either from bitz sites, or converting them from Hunter Killer missiles from the vehicles accessory sprue (that you get in the Razorback boxed set). You can pretty much build a successful and very competitive army using just these 3 components.

It's all about Grey Hunters. They are a great troops choice with quite a few options to make them even better; Mark of the Wulfen, Wolf Standard, etc.
Just don't forget to put them in rhinos with a wolf guard to lead them.
Rune priests are awesome, but I play a lot with an Eldar player, and "runes of warding" totally neuters them.

Space Wolves are all about controlling mid-field, And counter charging anything that gets too close.

I agree with Gilli247; www.space-wolves-grey.blogspot.com is a great resource.

Awesome guys! That's super helpful and I face Eldar quite often as well so that's awesome.

Very much appreciated!
