I'm starting a new Angels Encarmine army, and seeing as both Sang. Guard and Death Co. are painted in Alabaster white, and I normally paint darker colours I was hoping someone could give some advice on painting this on a Chaos Black undercoat.

I suggest starting with a grey undercoat if you can, that would be the best option than just layer up from there.

Alternatively if you have to use the black undercoat start with the Dheneb Stone foundation paint, still make sure you thin it down but it will give you a nice coverage to start with.

From there just mix in varying amounts of white, until you are up to pure white.

Astronomican Grey foundation paint also works really well to layer up from.
