Hi Dakka!
I'm starting this blog to keep myself motivated to paint, and to get an idea on what I need to improve with my painting. While the current fluff certainly isn't the best, the models look great and I really like them. (and let's assume the Dreadknight doesn't exist )

So, to start this off, a couple of pics:
Here's the first terminator I painted. I'm quite satisfied with how he looks, except the armour. I think I will stop using a blue wash on the armour because on bright metal it's quite hard to make it look good for me. I know the hole in the psycannon is drilled a bit too low, but I still have some problems with aligning the drill correctly.

Here's a close-up of the halberd you can see in the first pic. The terminator holding it isn't finished, and I noticed his photo is blurry only after uploading, so maybe another time. I really like how these FWs look, especially because I came up with this idea on my own (kinda )

I'm currently working on a Stomraven I bought. There's another one in the box waiting to be assembled too. Call me weird but I actually like how it looks. While it looks bad on pictures, when I saw it IRL I really liked it. I know that this "burnt" effect doesn't fit because these are turbines, but I noticed it only after I painted it on. So, I will probably paint over it with chainmail or something.

Here's the bottom. I'm positive I went overboard with the dirt on the landing gear, but I'm not sure so please tell me what you think!

And that's all for now! Because of school, I will probably be able to only make small updates every week, but I hope I can convince myself to paint more because it's better than spending another 3 hours mindlessly browsing forums and YouTube

Looking really nice! That's a really good power weapon effect and the weathering looks great. Subbed!

I did some assembly on the Stormraven yesterday. I'm currently wondering if I should magnetise the tail and the wings. Also, I put it together without gluing out of curiosity, and while it stays together, when I put it on the flying stand it doesn't stay straight because the back is too heavy. So now I think I will magnetise the stand too just to be safe, but I need to buy a dremel tool in that case.

I was a bit sick this week, and I have to copy quite a bit of notes but I think I can finish a terminator and get started on another one tomorrow. But if I crack and buy Oblivion (would buy Skyrim but my PC sucks) then there might be no update
If I get some work done I will edit this post.

Sooo... school happened, then I was sick, after which I left to visit my dad in Ireland for Christmas but I didn't take anything to paint or build. I did get a Strike box and a Termi box though Now, FINALLY, I found some time to assemble some stuff and since the winter break is coming I SWEAR this blog will see some more updates. Hopefully Here's something to get started again:
