So I was wondering the other day which army has the best battleforce and i decided to do a poll. Personally i would say tau as you had a complete 500 point army . But what do you think?

Even though Tau aren't a terribly good army, the Tau battleforce comes out ahead since it's a playable army out of the box.

I think Dark Eldar has a great battleforce.

Yeah the Tau one is pretty good. Even the stealth suits are fairly useable. Though the third edition one was awesome. It had 3 crisis suits in it.

Possibly the way to do it would be to look at the value of the models in terms of both points and cash price. I don't see anything to beat the Tau one on either score. I think the tyranid one might just be the worst on both scores.

Seen the new megaforces, the Dark Eldar one looks like very good value, which is not something I usually associate with GW!

I think the CSM battleforce is fairly good-for-your buck 15 CSM, 8 Berzerkers, 5 Possessed Marines, and a Rhino. In terms of combat effectiveness relative to what you get, probably the Tau. The Dark Eldar one is great too.

The thing that pisses me off about Battleforces in general is the absence of HQ's in many of them, which makes playing them right away impossible.

An HQ is about 15 - 20$ I don't mind that battleforces don't come with one.
