What do you think? I'll be playing Marines, Daemons, Space Wolves, Chaos Marines, and Orks.
HQ:
The Sanguinor
Troops:
10 Assault Marines
+2 Meltaguns
+Power Weapon on Sergeant
10 Assault Marines
+2 Meltaguns
+Power Weapon on Sergeant
10 Assault Marines
+2 Meltaguns
+Power Weapon on Sergeant
Elites:
3 Priests
+3 Jump Packs
+3 Meltabombs
Terminator Assault Squad (5 man)
+ 5 Thunder Hammer / Storm Shield
Furioso w/ Blood Talons
Fast Attack:
Baal Predator
Baal Predator
Heavy:
Stormraven Gunship
+Hurricane Bolters
Trying to focus mainly on close combat using Sang's and the Priests abilities to give The assault squads +1 A and Feel No Pain. The thought is to move the assault marines as one large force and get the Furiouso and Terms up close quickly using the Stormraven.
Could drop the 2 Baal's and a couple weapons to get Meph but wasn't sure if it was worth it. What do you think?

You will need something to shoot besides a stormraven. Drop some assault marines and get a Tac squad.
The Sanguinor is more points than a land raider, and over an 8th of your points gone might have been more useful.
I would ditch something for a land raider and some DC too with lemartes and swap out the furioso for a DC dread. Stash them in the Stormraven and jump right in the heart of your enemy's higher price infantry and HQs.

not too bad but can be improved quite a bit
personally you have nothing to help keep your stuff alive longer...so id drop the sanguinor for 2 libbies. one with a jump pack the other without. give them both shield of sang the other powers are up to you. however in taking the libbies they keep your raven/ASM alive longer. also remove one jump pack from to run around with the termies.
as for the termies...drop 3 thunder hammers obviously for lightning claws just so your not sitting there waiting to attack and get some needed kills.
also what kind of baal preds are those
from the points you saved on the 2 libbies you can give 2 of your ASM a power fist. just to deal with things you would normally have a bit of trouble with as well as insta-gibbing any IC

Why on earth would you put a tac squad in a DoA list?

Because sometimes pouring shots into your enemies for over there gets more done than getting butchered over here

I'm sorry but Tac squads are the most un competative thing for Blood Angels. I agree with the 2 libbies even though I don't do it my self as I run Mephiston. Also a Furioso Dreadnought is much better than a Death Company one. Although awsomely scary Death company are overcosted and not worth their points especially if they have jump packs. They are fun however so if this is a fun list use them.
Here is my List at 2000pts take from it what you will but do not completly copy it. Also this is a tournemant list and may not be what you are looking for. http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/410456.page Automatically Appended Next Post: lliadon wrote: as for the termies...drop 3 thunder hammers obviously for lightning claws just so your not sitting there waiting to attack and get some needed kills.
I would agree with dropping some hammers but maybe not 3 prehaps 2 or if they are tank hunting take a single pair of claws. You could drop 3 but I'm not sure how well it would work.

They'd also be footslogging across the board in a list they don't at all fit the theme for.
Don't get tacs, it's entirely a bad choice on this list.

You will be super reliant on the storm raven. This is not a great idea. If it gets shot down early, which it may, not sure what the army will do.
I think of ways tactical squads can fit a BA list, however not this list.

I definetly like the idea of dropping the jump pack on one of the priests and putting them with the terminators, and also dropping 2 of the thunder hammers...this frees up some points for better wargear.
Not sure yet about dropping the Sanguinor for the 2 libby's as I really like that +1 A, but I'm thinking about it.
Also, I was thinking the flame storm cannon on the Baal Pred's because of the AP3 against power armor.
Maybe I'd be better off dropping the stormraven and just deep striking the terminators?

No keep the raven or get a landraider crusader with xtra armour and multi-melta if you can find the points. You always want terminators to have a ride as they are slow and deep striking is unpredictable. Unless you have a locator beacon. Granted I deep struck terminators next to an objective and they assaulted next turn tying me the game as all objectives were contested.

Firstly Sanguinor is a over priced HQ which is a massive point sink. I would drop him and take something which would seriously benefit your army i.e Librarian with shield and unleash rage.
Assault Marines with meltas should have a power fist, you can attack the tank after. Flamers should have power weapon because you are charging after.
You haven't got a good mix of vehicle to infantry ratio to make a hybrid list. You have four vehicles and no doubt the Furioso will be on the Stormraven, this now has 3 armour units for anti tank weapons to target. Blast the Raven and that's two units down straight away. I would drop all armour or consider bulking it up, say a few Razorbacks maybe. I would definitely drop the Stormraven as it is just a big target and really should come in pairs for target saturation.

If a Stormraven explodes you have to roll a 6 to glance the dreadnought. A 1 in 6 chance of harming it, combined with minus 2 on your VD roll, I believe this is a sensible risk.
If it wrecks you just have to perform an ordinary disembarkation for this situation... It may seem risky but an assault squad on top of a Dread is a fearsome combo.
Still agree with cutting the Sanguinor though. No point in spending more points than a land raider on a single unit that will probably draw every single lascannon, krak missile, Tesla weapon... It may have a 3+ invunerable but instant death will change all this!

That's not the point about the Dreadnought. The point is that the Dreadnought is assault based and when the Raven is carrying the Dreadnought is gives you TWO reasons to fire at it 1. the Raven 2. To stop the Dreadnought getting close. If you immobilise or even pop the Raven first turn then the Dreadnought will not make assault. Something doesn't have to be taken out the game to be taken out the game

Alrighty... cut Stormraven and load on the Drop Pods! He'll make the assault and there isn't much they can do about that.

Remember that units that arrive via Drop Pod can't assault the turn they drop. So, there is actually plenty that your opponent can do to keep Drop Podding Furiosos from assaulting.
If you want to base your army around that strategy, you will need a lot of Drop Pods, so you can get multiple Furiosos down on the first turn.

What? The Dreadnought cannot assault out of a Drop Pod and will just stand there. So there's plenty a opponent can do i.e move away, use terrain to slow the Dreadnought down and also blast it to pieces. If taking Drop Pods then the entire army needs to be Drop Pods, or DoA in Angels case.
