My current 1,500 point list below. I also own 1 Wraith and a Lord with a Staff of Light.

This list did well against Guard in it's only outing thus far (tomorrow will be against something else), although I found I want more Scarabs, but not sure how to add them. What I am looking for is some ideas on what I can do to increase to 1,850 points without purchasing a new army (so no, drop those three Warrior units for Immortals). If I were to add more than three more Scarabs, I would need to drop or combine Destroyers. I am also think of a C'Tan with Lord of Fire and Withering Worldscape modeled to be the Deceiver with a Ghost Rider-esque head floating in the center of a lava eruption like http://www.geo.mtu.edu/volcanoes/hazards/primer/images/volc-images/puuoo.jpg. That would be 220 points but leave me feeling like I should have taken perhaps more infantry like 10 Immortals or a Resurrection Ship (sorry, Ghost Ark) with some rearranging of the Warrior Squads. As it stands, I am mainly looking for ideas on where to go from here.

Overlord - Warscythe, Tachyon Arrow, Resurrection Orb, Phase Shifter

Royal Court - 2 Lords w/ Resurrection Orbs, 1 w/ Voidblade, 1 w/ Warscythe
Cryptek - Harbinger of Destruction w/ Solar Pulse

12 Warriors

12 Warriors

12 Warriors

5 Deathmarks

7 Scarabs

3 Destroyers

1 Heavy Destroyer

Annihilation Barge

2 Canoptek Spyders - Twin-linked Particle Beamers

P⑨P QUIZ

A bus left the Scarlet Devil Mansion; three people boarded at the start.
At Hakugyokurou, one left and half a person boarded.
At Yakumo-san's house, two people left; so how many passengers in total?
The answer is zero people because there are no buses in Gensokyo!

I like the variety here. Of course, the internet is going to tell you to make a spammy redundant list, or you stand no chance of being competitive.

Necrons are different, and this list represents the way we need to think. While some redundancy is good (ie: more Destroyers, or another Annihilation Barge), Necron units have very specific roles to play. They function a bit more like Eldar in that regard.

A Ghost Ark would be a good addition. We don't need to go all transport like marines or Dark Eldar, and ours is more expensive (not to mention, it packs a huge footprint). One is good to support some Warriors, or carry a Court via hijack.

Immortals are great, but decide if you need more 12+" firepower, or more short-ranged firepower. Tesla is better at the former, Gauss is better at the latter.

Got another game in yesterday, this time against Space Puppies. I proxied 10 Death Company for 10 Tesla carbine armed Immortals and took the Infinitely useless as my foe had 1,850 and I needed to add a quick 350 points to my list (I also dropped a Warrior). My conclusion, while the 175 points gives me a scoring HQ, the random loss of more combat important characters means I really would have been better off running at a 175 point disadvantage. That will teach me to pick a special character based on fluff and a cursory reading of his rules. I have assigned all blame for my lose on him and him alone.

The Immortals, however, did wonders. Two boxes will definitely be forth coming. The Scarabs again were nothing short of amazing as they tore a Land Raider apart after dropping it to AV6. The Deathmarks assassinated five of seven Long Fangs with their alphastrike. Yet I still felt that I could have used more anti-tank. I think a Doomsday Ark may be worth a try. There is also the option of adding a pair of Heavy Destroyers to the existing one and adding a Harbinger with a harp. Too many choices.
