Can't say I'm a huge fan of the arm, itself, but the conversion work and paintjob both appear rock solid. You get bonus points, in my book, for making it distinctly Chaotic without covering every surface in spikes, skulls, and raw, bloody flesh. Actually, the overall effect is nice enough that I've warmed up to the arm a decent bit, just from the time spent flicking back up to the pics while responding.

The Dreadnote wrote:But the Emperor already has a shrine, in the form of your local Games Workshop. You honour him by sacrificing your money to the plastic effigies of his warriors. In time, your devotion will be rewarded with the gift of having even more effigies to worship.

That looks really awesome. How did you make the tubes going to and from the sarcophagus thing?

EDIT: Wait, they are on the actual model, silly me...

The arm is very 1 dimensional so in ever photo ive seen of it ever i thought it was trash. but when you see it in real life it looks decent.

I would remove the purity seal on the multi melta. I would have green stuffed over the wax part and made it one long document. The purity seal is more of an imperial thing now a days. Other than that, the model looks pretty sweet. The last time I saw a Chaos Dreadnought on the table he shot a Multi Melta in the side of a Land Raider that belonged to his War Lord. On the up side though, it did go into a Frenzy and beat three marine units in HtH forcing them to break and run. 10 of them were never able to rally again as he stayed with them until they ran off the board edge.

I agree about the purity seal, but i was holding off for a plasma cannon arm. Its just too bad that the chaos dreads are kinda a waste of points when compared to other things in the codex. Hopefully that's fixed in the next codex.

You've made it look sufficiently un-black reachy, which is the hardest thing to do with them.

You guys I think he tried to make it (obviously) look like the current chaos dred kit, but much cheaper and better looking and not a hunk of metal/failcast

Really great model... except for the arm! The arm is the one thing that kept me from buying the model, lol.

Great job all the same
