Playing in a tournament where we start at 1250, then upgrade to 1500, and then finish with 1750. Units are added and never removed from lists and this is what I have so far:

1250:

Lib Shield of sang, sanguine sword

5x Assault Melta, power sword
razor w/ ass cannon

5x assault melta, power sword
razor w/ tl lascannon

5x assault melta, power fist
razor w/ tl lascannon

1x sang priest

dev squad x 7 1 multi melta, 3x plas can

dev squad x 7 1 lascannon, 3x m launcher

furioso w/ drop pod heavy flamer, extra armor and blood talons

1239 pts......


1500 list

___adding___

x5 assault squad melta, plas pistol, power fist
razorback tl ass cannon

x1 sang priest

1494 pts.....


1750 list

1749 pts



As you can see, you start w/ a 1750 list and have to drop units to make it to 1500, and then 1250. Plan to weaken from range w/ the amount of fire power I have. Furioso drops down first turn and trys to melta the largest threat. If he survives, he wrecks havoc on what ever is around him while support him w/ the 2 devvie squads.

Let me know what yall think of this as I threw it together very fast.

Well this seems like regular las/plas razor spam. I would drop devs, either all of them or if you have to keep them to 5 man sq's. Moreover i would focus either on pure plasma or pure ML.

Instead of devs however think of vindies.

I would go for all las/plas razorbacks and then vindis as a nice combo. This gives you good flexibility in tournaments.
Or all assault cannons then preds to give range.
Dev. squads are out as has already been pointed out.

Not keen on drop podding dreads, especially in a tournament as it is a big loss if you come across an enemy who can counteract it. Like DoA lists for example.

You have over armed your troops. Essentially they sit in tanks all game, 5 man squads in cc are not great and there is a lack of shooting ability. Squads that are simple like melta, inf. pistol and meltabombs are cheaper and more to the point and can achieve that point when called upon. Or flamer and powerweapon as another example.

I reckon three priests at the end is too much.
