I want to start a 40k army but Im not sure what I should do?

I really like the look of them but there are fragile where can I get foam trays to place them in?

Are they cheap in points wise?

Would the dark eldar megaforce be worth to start out dark eldar as it saves you quite a bit?

They're no more fragile then any other GW model. Glue their floating models to the bases properly and they'll be fine.

Not especially but they're not expensive either

It's one of the few Battleforces that's worth it. 10 Kabalite warriors, 10 wyches, a raider, and 3 reavers would cost about $130 separately.

Yes, the Voidraven Bomber.

What units should I buy to start off with and why?

Units in the Battleforce (Kabalite Warriors, Wyches, Reavers, and a Raider) plus an Archon. It gives you a fairly balanced force that can utilize their strengths.

Voidraven bomber has a model, it's the same as the other flyer.

We don't have models for all the named characters save the Haemonculi HQ and the Wych HQ.

Be prepared to buy transports. Lots of transports.
