So I checked the games workshop today and noticed that the sanguinary guard squad went up in price by $20!!! I find this to be totally outrageous seeing as they are now $55 and my whole army was based on their models. The sanguinary priest model is now $22 and the sanguinor, $33, totally outrageous!

Are you looking at the Australian prices? That's the usual problem here.

Maybe GW seeing if anyone actually falls for them? I mean, hell, they -would- be getting almost double the cash if someone from the US or elsewhere paid Australian prices 'cause they weren't paying attention.

It's from the GW site resetting its cookies or something so that when you visit you need to reselect your country, and Aus is right below the US.

Look on the bright side, aussies! The current prices are lower than what you'll pay after May of next year! Sorry, that's about as bright of a side I can come up with...

This (pricing set to Australian) seems to happen far too often.

I actually wonder what goes through the GW marketing department guys' head when they actually believe that increasing prices over and over again will help support the company, and that denying independant retailers' shipping rights to the Aus + NZ is somehow harmful to the hobby... ¬¬

Oh and 4000 posts! Woooo!

Probably that not supporting the decision publicly in house will get them axed as the highest levels of management seem to be only interested in short term gains/numbers before they cash out instead of long term growth.

Funny Story: Bought a box of Thousand Sons marines back in the spring and it was missing the little pack of metal bits. When I called CustServ for a replacement, the phone guy that was putting it in was like: "Wut? Why is this saying that box is $66 dollars? That makes no sense. Oh. Your account is set to Australia. That still makes no sense."

Not that I got charged for the box.

I don't see why someone doesn't just have a US citizen order GW stock at 30% off plus the $6 for shipping, take that and sell it at 25% off to Aus and Nz people plus shipping.

Come to think of it, if anyone down south wants to do that I'm game.

Their minimum wage is nearly twice ours, and they don't have to pay for healthcare. Cost-of-living also tends to be significantly cheaper.
