Title says it all. I really had a hard time painting this, especially the cloth parts...

...mostly because the stubborn me always starts with a black primer. And yes, I'm making an army which is predominantly white/bleached bone AND red. I think I'm either super patient or super stupid. At least this goes to show that, while it helps to start with a white/grey primer when painting models that'll be ultimately light colored, it IS possible to start in black, but it's much more work.

I particularly like the cloak, even though it took me at least 5 hours of work to get it right. It doesn't show on the photos, but in real life one can see the transition of Scorched Brown-Bestial Brown-Snakebite Leather-Dwarf Flesh-ElfFlesh-Bleached Bone-Skull White on the cloak. Yes, I use Dwarf and Elf Flesh on my whites.

Comments and critiques welcome! Also, please comment and vote on my gallery! Thanks! You might want to check my other works here, here, here and here.

Edit: I was wondering... do you guys think I should add eyes? I mean I want my work to be as detailed as possible, but I always find that models with detailed eyes tend to be wild-eyed or mildly surprised, so I never do them in this scale. What do you guys think?

That cloak is a really nasty piece of work. Thanks.
