Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone had used the GW Mighty Empires book for a WHFB campaign. If so, is it worth it? Would you recommend it? Is there anything good about it?

Also, I was wondering if anyone had any other resources they used for creating a campaign.

I'm looking for everything and anything.

Thanks.

We are doing a Mighty Empires at our local GW. It is a lot of fun we have all but one army represented (Daemons). We are in week 5 I think started at 750 then 1k now 1250 will go all the way to 2500 I believe going up every 2 weeks, trying to fit in 2 games a week 1 attack and 1 defend, we haven't started fighting over tiles yet just buying empty ones with empire points. So far really fun.

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

Does Mighty Empires allow for campaigns to be started a point values higher than your 750? My group of friends already have their armies assembled and wanted to do something with armies at 2,000 points.

I imagine you can do it anyway you want. Roll off or alternate selecting tiles and then attack and defend from the get go. Certain tiles allow you to do different things and upgrades like keep and cities, mines and other things. If you don't like the rules of the book make your own. If you play computer games I explain to people that 40k is like Dawn of War/Starcraft, Fantasy is like the Total War games but without the campaign map, Mighty Empires gives you that campaign map.
