Beginning painter?! That orange is absolutely brilliant!

My only complaint is that the rest of the model isn't up to the fantastic standard set by the orange.... maybe next time try some nmm on the bolter and aquila? It doesn't look out of your skill level judging by the blending on the orange.

And the eyes. OSL maybe? And highlight the black a bit more.

Otherwise, this is an amazing job. Good luck in the contest!

I hate you and your blending.

Serious loathing.

It is just too freaking nice.

Very nice, but let down by the lack of punctuation and spelling. I presume it's supposed to be "Malcolm, guardian of the Halloween hoard".

Perhaps his name is Malcolm Guardian.

Hi all thanks for all of the comments advice and feedback. Thanks for all of the compliments on the orange armour do you think it would be worth making a YouTube tutorial on my techniques? unfortunately nmm is one of the techniques that I am totally incompetent at it, can sort of paint a convincing Aquila, but anything other than that I am not really skilled enough to paint well it is definitely something I need to work on. Sorry about my spelling/gramma as I said I am 15 and spelling is definitely not my strong point. Thanks for the advice will keep it all in mind for the future will paint another marine keeping this in mind and then upload more pics.

I'd watch a tutorial if you posted one. If you call yourself a beginner and get results like that, well, I'm interested.

NMM is all about color choices and stark contrasts. If you can transition between colors well, then you can do nmm.

Maybe all you need to do is to push yourself. Keep trying more advanced techniques, I'm sure you could get them.

Excellent work, you certainly have a talent there! I look forward to see more of your work in future.

I like the bolter, I'm not a fan of nmm generally
