Use to playing 2k point tourneys so I had to shave some points. Wondering if this seems viable. C&C welcome

Will mainly be going against Marine armies

*edit* Ok fixed some of my points and I dropped straken and replace the demolisher to get a LRBT and squeeze in a basilisk.
I like to keep the 2 vets in vendettas so I can atleast last turn turbo-contest or scout move flat out then on my turn move up in my opponents face and melta/demo nuke along with the vendetta supporting fire.

Personally, if it's up against mostly marines I would go for a Battle Tank over a Demolisher, because I like long range AP3.
However, that's just personal preference and, to be honest, since you have all the melta any guard commander could ask for plus demo charges, I think this list is pretty awesome

Drop straken and use him points else where as you dont have power weapons any where and you not running a footslog list, with his 95p i would up grade the maticore to a 2demolisher, and then give 3 vets squads demoltion, as it is funny loads of melta bombs and demo charges(kill marines easy). Just myinput

Drop Straken, he does nothing in a mechinazied list of vets.

Your vet squads are pointed incorrectly, they should be 155pts for three melta guns and chimeras.

Switch the Demolisher for another manticore.

You should have 120pts to play with. I'd personally buy two more chimeras, or buy one more for a vet squad and upgrade one vet squad to a plasma squad.

Solid list though. If you're going up against marines, I'd recommend taking at least two plasma squads.

Overall it's a little light on targets (you only have 7) but if you drop some of the junk you and add more you may do okay.

Aside from Marbo named characters *usually* are not worth their points. Straken here fits into the *usually* part.

If you want demo charges either get those vets chimeras or put them in naked valks. My personal rule is to never spend more than 125 points on a vet squad but ymmv.

Whatever you choose for heavy support I'd take two rather than one of each. While I am not a fan of expensive heavies (again ymmv) both your choices have their benefits. However, I think that the LRBT complement your other choices better.

MElta/Demo vets are 130 IIRC, not 135.

Looking at your list, I would seriously reconsider your entire list considering who you want to face off against. Chimera Vets are a hoard list and you have 3. Your goal is to get in close and use those Meltas, like within 6-12". Your also using artillery (that your not going to be able to defend) that also scatters quite a bit... scatters up to 12" if your getting my drift. I do not mind the Vets in the Vendettas, and they are a potent force, but after that your list sorta falls short.

I agree, there isn't enough spam to keep your guys alive. Once the vets' vehicle pops, they are as good as dead against marines.

The basilisk and manticore is also out of place. It's unreliable and very vulnerable if you aren't running a gun line. This is a mobile list, so keep your artillery mobile. 3 LRBT is a thing to be reckoned with, and can engage from across the table along with your Vendettas, and still move with your Chimeras when the going gets tough.
